The new trucks will further support Linfox Transport’s expanding logistic services for
Linde Malaysia’s gas contract
Petaling Jaya, January 13, 2016 – Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE), the sole distributor of UD Trucks in Malaysia, continues their longstanding ties with Linfox Transport and Linde Malaysia, which was marked by a truck key handover ceremony that recently took place at Linde Malaysia in Petaling Jaya.
Linfox Transport has ordered 15 new units of UD trucks to meet the demands of their process gas and packages contract (PG&P) for one of its key customers, Linde Malaysia.
Linfox Transport is a logistic solutions provider which delivers sophisticated supply chain solutions to leading companies in 10 countries around the region. Linde Malaysia, formerly known as Malayan Oxygen Sdn Bhd, is one of its key customers specializing in providing total gas solutions including industrial, specialty and medical gases to a variety of industries.
UD Trucks has been continuously sought as one of Linfox Transport’s trucking solutions since the beginning of both companies’ business dealings which went back a few decades ago.
“Our business relationship with both Linfox Transport and Linde Malaysia started in the early 1990s when we supplied the first fleet of UD trucks to Linde. In 2004, we supplied an additional 23 units of trucks to Linfox for their Linde contract. And between the years 2005 to 2008, we supplied another 19 units to Linfox to support the growth of its business” said Mr Wong King Yoon, Chief Executive Officer of TCIE at the handover ceremony.
“Now, we are here to hand over a new fleet of 15 UD trucks to Linfox Transport and we believe that UD Trucks’ reliability and TCIE’s excellent aftermarket support have been the key factors in ensuring that this customer relationship continues to become stronger,” added Mr Wong King Yoon.
